New year's wishes

Happy new year guyssss :D I hope this year you have a transformation of personality, an update to who you are right now. Like from Kit Kat to Marshmallow. I hope this year you get over that heartbreak. I hope you wake up with the biggest laughter. I hope that you close your eyes with smiles, instead of crying yourself to sleep. I hope that you wake up and kickass every single day, and create a new whiff of aura around you. I hope that when you wake up you're walking on a metaphorical red carpet, one that treats you with as much royalty you deserve. And most of all, I hope you figure out the best people you are able to vent to. Now I'm not saying that they'll all be good days, but you have to be prepared. You have to be prepared for stumbles you'll come across, huge bumps, and maybe even dark pits you'll fall into. You don't just stay fallen on the floor when you fall, do you? You get up. You will figure it out. So I won't wish for you to not fall at al...

New faces

Surrounded by the familiar faces and listening to voices she grew up with, inhaling smells she grew up to love, touches her fingers were used to. Yet, it was kind of funny how she could not recognize even one of them. She could only look at them and think of the times they were the ones who provided her with rope and water when she was trying to climb the mountain of life. She missed the days their laughter and smiles weren't plastered. When they said things they meant, made promises which were to be kept. The thunder was gone but now she missed it. At least there was a promised calm afterward. This was a completely different kind of storm. Sort of like a plague, slowly and steadily eating up humanity. You know it's coming, but until it's here you really don't know what's impending your way. It was hard for her to look at what they'd become, but it was harder to try and remember what they used to be. They say time changes people and use it as an excuse, but th...

Let go.

Why is it that we judge people on the basis of our thought processes? Why do we not realize that everyone thinks in a different way, and  why does it take so long for us to digest how they think and feel? We trust them, right? But what does that even mean? It means that if  you trust someone, you know them well enough to understand that they are worth something, that just because they think  differently, doesn't mean they think wrong. We know them well enough to understand that whatever they do have in mind, is only  for the benefit, and that they wouldn't do something just without thinking. Why do we say we trust them when we don't really? Why  is it that we just forbid them from doing something, or in the least making sure that they know you don't approve? Why is it that we say  we support them, but we go back on our words when they really just needed us to be there, in the first place? Why is it that they are  supposed to listen to everything we "a...

Nostalgia.

Image
The sacred 3rd Floor In exactly 2 days, our first prelims start. Weeks are passing by as seconds, and I swear it feels like just yesterday I was freaking out about the fact that 10th had started. It's been 3 months to that feeling! In about 7 months, we'll be writing our Boards' Papers! Suddenly, I was nostalgic for something I'd never known- missing school.  When we're sad, minutes feel like hours, and the moment just couldn't pass by any slower. It's like time is frozen within the cold, broken embrace of your heart. You've probably lost someone and it hurts. You may have lost them suddenly, unexpectedly. Or perhaps you began losing pieces of them until one day, there was nothing left. You may have known them all your life or barely even a little. Either way, it is irrelevant- you cannot control the depth of a wound that another soul inflicts upon you. Which is why I'm not here to tell you tomorrow is another day. That the sun will go shinin...

Emptiness.

Image
My eyes, filled with tears and heart, heavy with overflowing emotions, I couldn't seem to hold back. Nothing in that moment could possibly cease or even slow down the rate at which everything was happening. My mind was flooded with memories of the bygone days. I couldn't seem to understand why this roller coaster of emotions suddenly came onto me, as if it were attacking me. The room, like my heart, was half empty. Nothing, no matter what I tried to fill it up with, seemed to occupy that space, like it were reserved. For someone special. I thought that we'd drift apart, maybe never talk again, maybe I wouldn't be able to make the time for him, or at some point of time, we'd have nothing left in common. But that's where I was wrong. I found myself realizing something. When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.  I wondered how I wa...

The Planned Accident.

She'd been waiting for this day since ages! Maybe she never confronted it, to her now husband-to-be, or even to herself. Stana couldn't be any happier! She'd just gotten her marriage license too! She was officially prepared to get married after two years of seeing each other. She knew he'd always be there for her, her pillar, her strength. His imperfections only made him more adorable in Stana's eyes. They'd known each other for 8 long years, and nothing ever changed how she felt about him. That girl was smitten!  Meanwhile, Nathan, had gone on his book tour. He had to publish his new book, or his publisher was going to pounce on him. Although he was kind of triggered and worried, since his rival, Demming, had been releasing his book too, and he purposely made sure that his tour dates clashed with Nathan's. They'd been rivals since the beginning of time, and there was nothing Demming wouldn't do to make sure his sales crossed Nathan's.  He...

Irrelevant.

It's weird how when you're angry all the negative things about even your own best friends start to highlight before your eyes, and you wonder whether they're doing it purposely to annoy you, because well they love annoying you, or they've always been this way and it's just coming to your notice now. If it's the latter, why is it so? Why hasn't it affected you all your life but now it's unbearable? What is that supposed to mean? If your best friend since so long suddenly starts to come off as annoying, what does that imply? When even their own flaws made them seem interesting and perfect, why does it bother you now? Can you even move past it? Is it something you can forgive them for? You know what the absolute worst part is? When they pretend to care. They're not even sorry! It hurts no worse than a gunshot when sharing even the smallest details of fights or happiness, which came naturally once, is nothing but hindrance to them. It reaches such heig...

Circumstances.

Things change. Circumstances change. Sometimes for the worse, but mostly for the better. Even though these changes might do things, unacceptable things, hurtful things and what may seem like completely brain-wrecking at that moment, it happens for a reason. Everything affects everything. Sometimes the only thing you can do, is not think, not wonder, not imagine, not obsess. Just breathe. Have faith that everything will work out for the best. Nothing in your life is purposeless. Everyone enters your life for a reason. And everyone leaves for a reason. And everything in the middle.  Maybe you have a friend circle larger than most people you know, but that doesn't mean they're all going to be there for you. Just because they laugh with you, joke with you, or even bunk lectures, they're not your true friends. They'll probably stay when you're on top of the world and when everyone loves you. But of course, people's emotions are so fluctuating, right? One moment the...

Perspectives.

I have a friend circle of people who are absolutely nothing like me. Some are what you'd call nerds, absolute introverts, opening up is like a threat to their living being. While others too extra, talking too much, sharing too much. Our definitions of normal are different individually. Some might say that not sharing every detail is absolutely sane, while the others disagree to the same. But being so different from each other, our thought processing all so different, that helps. In difficult situations, having so many perspectives to one problem, the situations don't seem to be too difficult anymore. Tough choices not being that tough. Being so different, and yet the best of friends is what makes our friendships so special. There's so many things we're all bad at.. but the best part is, they're all different things. We all help each other cope and live with it. Sometimes, I feel out of place, and feel like I don't belong, and then I think, that if I belive that...

The Fam

I've had a lot of family this weekend. I met so many mama mamis and masa masis. Talking to them, gossiping and chatting till 4.30am, I realised that I come from a family that is so protecting, so caring and so jolly. These people have been to hell and back, and not once will you feel like they've experienced so much sadness. Faced the reality. Because that's how life is, right? One of my friends was so amused by the fact that my close family itself was so huge. We're around 75-80 people, I know, it's a lot. But what do you do in times like this? Not all friends are willing to give up their own well being for you, am I right? Well, of course, some friends are just gems of people, but not all. Family is blood. They all just amaze me!  Where they stand in life, has never stopped them from being caring. No matter the occasion, no matter how busy and tightly-scheduled they are, that's never been an excuse. If they want to meet me, it's just very visible by thei...

Wonder Woman

Last night, I saw Wonder Woman, and I'd like to tell you about how that movie has affected me in so so many ways. First of all, Gal Gadot- Wowww. She is arguably the most beautiful thing I've seen in ages! After Stana Katic, my role model, of course. No one could've played this role more accurately and perfectly than Gal. No one. Not even Angelina Jolie! Now that I've fangirled enough, moving on to why I loved the movie overall. It has some pretty badass whole new level dialogues. Hilarious ones too!  Like DAMNNNNNNN Girl! And even though it was (obviously) based on DC Comics, I feel like even a person who has absolutely zero interest or knowledge about all this superhero stuff (I'm looking at you- Mom), they'd like it too! It's not rocket science.. You can go cry in a corner now, Marvel Fans. Score! The movie, in general, has quite some action in it. And some may or may not find that disturbing, but it was very well linked with the deep philosophy too. It...

Death.

It's inevitable. But today, I'm not here to talk about my own. Instead, about the things that happen when our very close ones do. Technically, death is something we all know is coming our way, it's actually no surprise. Yet, emotions, like they say, always come in a lot. There are some people we have known since our birth, who we look up to, to correct our mistakes and right our wrongs. People that don't have to say that they're always there for us, because they prove it being there. People who we don't just look up to for advice or help when we need it, but also people that are with us in crime and the fun-modes too. The people we lunch with every other day, and it still doesn't feel enough. I write with blurry vision as I tell you, that someone just like that to my father passed away. Now you'll say, he wasn't close to you, right? Why you being such a baby about it?  It doesn't work like that. When someone so close to someone you're very ...

Difficulties.

You're on the top of the World. (Literally, since I was at the top of Burj Khalifa.) You're the happiest you've been in quite some time. You know that things are going to be okay, and that they're gonna fall in place. Things are perf. No fights with friends, long talks with bffs, visiting your dream place, sitting in all the rollercoasters, visiting haunted houses, breaking rules and not getting caught, everything a little girl wishes for. But of course, this isn't life. Life is what gives you a good time for a couple of hours or, if you're lucky, days. And well, if you've done great in your exams, weeks. But it's not supposed to be easy. It's supposed to be so freaking hard that you feel like giving up. But you can't. You shouldn't. You fight your way back up and lift yourself. Because when the person you love the most doesn't trust you, you tend to lose hope. Cry, grieve, but get over it. People aren't always what they seem like. ...

Unanswerable.

I'm not exactly who'd you'd call an emotional person, I suppose. Some call me cold- hearted, while some look upto my strength and ask me where I get it from. I tend to usually not give in to the hate, and the eye rolls. But at some point of time, you break down. No matter how sweet you've been to a person, and done everything capable by your living self, some just hate you. Without any reason. That's the worst. My best friends tell me that they're just jealous, and that's why they hate me. But what could truly be the reason? I'm not really someone who'll just accept things, just like that. I need reasons. I need my answers. Whether it's about why a murder took place or about why Baskin Robbins and not Naturals. I need answers. Recently, I haven't felt my true self, "cold-hearted" or "strong" whatever you call it. I give in to the hate, to the eye rolls and to even the slightest jokes made on me. I didn't need answer...

Whatever It Takes

There are some people who are part of our lives, and we don't even know them. They may be playing the smallest parts of our lives, maybe just crossed paths with you, or maybe someone who you rolled your eyes over. But under some circumstances, you meet those people. You meet them and they make you smile. They make you feel good about yourself like nothing else ever did. They are the gems of people, who cannot disappoint you, even if they try to. It is their life goal to protect you, no matter what, even if that's from yourselves. They keep us from going CRAZY, and they are the only constant thing in your life that's officially not messed up. They'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe, keep you happy! They're the adrenaline in your body that make you feel butterflies every time you see them! People like those are keepers, and no matter the silly fights you have, you shouldn't be affected by what people say. It's your life, your decisions, why should the pe...

Scribbled

Who knew dreams could change our beliefs towards people? We barely even remember those dreams minutes after we wake up. Smiling, grinning and just happiness? My friends used to tell me to give up.. i probably should, is what I thought at that time. Because self respect, right? And well, of course, everyone has their breaking point at some phase in their life, that's just a fact. And I happened to think that was mine. Naturally, after all the ups and downs, at some time you just feel like giving up, don't you? That's just human. But I was wrong. And so was everybody else. If I hadn't believed, I hadn't hoped, I don't know what life I would be living right now. Hoping is what defines us, it's the one constant thing that isn't affected by environmental changes. Hope keeps us from completely breaking down. Hope keeps us believing. Hope is our escape, our real show of colors, it's something you can't even lie to yourself about. It's a portrayal o...

Part 2: Caskett, and their endless love.

//Continuation// Weeks passed by. Everything was different. After all the frosts and tough times, there wasn't a trace of chill in the air. Enough bitterness. The mildness and warmth were scarcely believable. The sea lay, violet colored, hush- hushing, turning and heaving, not breaking into foamy waves, it was one sinuous ripple from shore to horizon, its sound, the muted sound of distant forests of peace. Lanie, the forensic analyst, Kate's best friend visited her in the hospital daily. One such day she woke up. "Where you been, Kate?! I was so worried 'bout you girl!" "Lanie! So good to see you! Where's Castle?" "Right outside. He visited you more than I did Kate! Something going on? Did you guys finally get together?" "Relax, Lane. Don't call him yet. I need to talk to you." "Can't it wait? You've been out for 3 weeks Beck." "Oh. But it can't. This is really important!" "Brin...

Part 1: Caskett, and their endless love.

//If you're a Castle fan, you're gonna love this one-shot. And if you haven't, I'm sure by the end of this, I will have inspired you to start watching it! Hope you like this one!// 8 years ago today. 9 Mar 2009. It's been 8 years since they met. 8 years to the day some crazy murderer exactly killed a woman the way Castle killed them in his books. 8 years to the day was called in for questioning by the Homicide Detective Beckett, and 8 years to when he started consulting as an external help for the NYPD. Castle was the most annoying, brain wrecking person you'd ever meet. He was someone who would make you want to pull all your hair out. There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking how to kill people. Psychopaths and Mystery writers. He was the kind that payed better. The best selling author's perspective and thinking was what impressed Kate Beckett the most. His sense of humor and the charm in his eyes and his extremely lovable nature, that's ...

Just A Thought

It's pretty amusing. Who knew people were like this? After all, at some time, we're all new to this place they call "humanity"... But even is it exactly? They say love is a beautiful thing... makes you smile, think about that person all day long, and basically all good things. It's a feeling you've never felt before. Seeing that person forgetting all our worries for a minute there. But what they never talk about is the aftermath. The pain, the sorrow, the gloating and retracing everything and trying to figure out what went wrong. This too, is a feeling you've never felt before,. Only difference, this one sucks. It changes you, makes you reconsider your life choices and probably take a turn for the worse. They never talk about these feelings, do they? Why is it that they portray only the good stuff? Unicorns pizzas and everything nice. But why don't they warn us about the really bad stuff too? Devils, bitter gourds and everything not so nice? It's ...

Best Friend :)

It's strange how we hold on to the pieces of our childhood while we await our futures, no greater sorrow than to recall a happy time when we are miserable.  "Aashi!!! Chal! We'll be late for school!" Chetasvi used to scream from the open lift door waiting for me to come running. Relays after school and splashing in puddles, it all came in my mind with a thousand thronging memories of the bygone days. Going to kitty with our grandmas and playing their oldies' games. Exchanging looks and giggles, with quiet eloquent eyes, as some aunty unknowingly made fun of themselves. Wrapped in the cocoon of our dreams, we knew nothing about what life held for us. No reality checks, and no worries. Forcing Cheta to play cricket and football with me, and pinki-promising her, that I'd play kitchen- kitchen later, basically summed up how totally different personalities we held, yet being the best of friends. Pouring fake tea in plastic teacups and saucers seemed to come sudd...
