Emptiness.

Image
My eyes, filled with tears and heart, heavy with overflowing emotions, I couldn't seem to hold back. Nothing in that moment could possibly cease or even slow down the rate at which everything was happening. My mind was flooded with memories of the bygone days. I couldn't seem to understand why this roller coaster of emotions suddenly came onto me, as if it were attacking me. The room, like my heart, was half empty. Nothing, no matter what I tried to fill it up with, seemed to occupy that space, like it were reserved. For someone special. I thought that we'd drift apart, maybe never talk again, maybe I wouldn't be able to make the time for him, or at some point of time, we'd have nothing left in common. But that's where I was wrong. I found myself realizing something. When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.  I wondered how I wa...

The Planned Accident.

She'd been waiting for this day since ages! Maybe she never confronted it, to her now husband-to-be, or even to herself. Stana couldn't be any happier! She'd just gotten her marriage license too! She was officially prepared to get married after two years of seeing each other. She knew he'd always be there for her, her pillar, her strength. His imperfections only made him more adorable in Stana's eyes. They'd known each other for 8 long years, and nothing ever changed how she felt about him. That girl was smitten!  Meanwhile, Nathan, had gone on his book tour. He had to publish his new book, or his publisher was going to pounce on him. Although he was kind of triggered and worried, since his rival, Demming, had been releasing his book too, and he purposely made sure that his tour dates clashed with Nathan's. They'd been rivals since the beginning of time, and there was nothing Demming wouldn't do to make sure his sales crossed Nathan's.  He...

Irrelevant.

It's weird how when you're angry all the negative things about even your own best friends start to highlight before your eyes, and you wonder whether they're doing it purposely to annoy you, because well they love annoying you, or they've always been this way and it's just coming to your notice now. If it's the latter, why is it so? Why hasn't it affected you all your life but now it's unbearable? What is that supposed to mean? If your best friend since so long suddenly starts to come off as annoying, what does that imply? When even their own flaws made them seem interesting and perfect, why does it bother you now? Can you even move past it? Is it something you can forgive them for? You know what the absolute worst part is? When they pretend to care. They're not even sorry! It hurts no worse than a gunshot when sharing even the smallest details of fights or happiness, which came naturally once, is nothing but hindrance to them. It reaches such heig...

Circumstances.

Things change. Circumstances change. Sometimes for the worse, but mostly for the better. Even though these changes might do things, unacceptable things, hurtful things and what may seem like completely brain-wrecking at that moment, it happens for a reason. Everything affects everything. Sometimes the only thing you can do, is not think, not wonder, not imagine, not obsess. Just breathe. Have faith that everything will work out for the best. Nothing in your life is purposeless. Everyone enters your life for a reason. And everyone leaves for a reason. And everything in the middle.  Maybe you have a friend circle larger than most people you know, but that doesn't mean they're all going to be there for you. Just because they laugh with you, joke with you, or even bunk lectures, they're not your true friends. They'll probably stay when you're on top of the world and when everyone loves you. But of course, people's emotions are so fluctuating, right? One moment the...

Perspectives.

I have a friend circle of people who are absolutely nothing like me. Some are what you'd call nerds, absolute introverts, opening up is like a threat to their living being. While others too extra, talking too much, sharing too much. Our definitions of normal are different individually. Some might say that not sharing every detail is absolutely sane, while the others disagree to the same. But being so different from each other, our thought processing all so different, that helps. In difficult situations, having so many perspectives to one problem, the situations don't seem to be too difficult anymore. Tough choices not being that tough. Being so different, and yet the best of friends is what makes our friendships so special. There's so many things we're all bad at.. but the best part is, they're all different things. We all help each other cope and live with it. Sometimes, I feel out of place, and feel like I don't belong, and then I think, that if I belive that...
