The truth about lies

The thing about lies is that, we're supposed to hate it. We've been taught to hate it. We've been told that it's they worst thing ever, and that we should never feed our hearts to it. To the pleasure of lying. We've been told that it's a drug, that once you lie, you can never stop. And to this date, even a little lie that did nobody any harm, can make us feel guilty. Truth on the other hand, it's supposed to be the one on our side, it's supposed to claim the closure our soul yearns. The truth is supposed to calm us, bring us peace. Peace, something we've forgotten is supposed to play a big role in our lives. The truth about truth is that, it sucks. There's a long journey between the time we learn this truth, and the time it finally calms us, and not cry at the thought of it. Lies, even though they're bad for us, they feed on our happiness. They pretend to keep us happy, build this wall, that trap the parts of us that make us unha...

New year's wishes

Happy new year guyssss :D I hope this year you have a transformation of personality, an update to who you are right now. Like from Kit Kat to Marshmallow. I hope this year you get over that heartbreak. I hope you wake up with the biggest laughter. I hope that you close your eyes with smiles, instead of crying yourself to sleep. I hope that you wake up and kickass every single day, and create a new whiff of aura around you. I hope that when you wake up you're walking on a metaphorical red carpet, one that treats you with as much royalty you deserve. And most of all, I hope you figure out the best people you are able to vent to. Now I'm not saying that they'll all be good days, but you have to be prepared. You have to be prepared for stumbles you'll come across, huge bumps, and maybe even dark pits you'll fall into. You don't just stay fallen on the floor when you fall, do you? You get up. You will figure it out. So I won't wish for you to not fall at al...

New faces

Surrounded by the familiar faces and listening to voices she grew up with, inhaling smells she grew up to love, touches her fingers were used to. Yet, it was kind of funny how she could not recognize even one of them. She could only look at them and think of the times they were the ones who provided her with rope and water when she was trying to climb the mountain of life. She missed the days their laughter and smiles weren't plastered. When they said things they meant, made promises which were to be kept. The thunder was gone but now she missed it. At least there was a promised calm afterward. This was a completely different kind of storm. Sort of like a plague, slowly and steadily eating up humanity. You know it's coming, but until it's here you really don't know what's impending your way. It was hard for her to look at what they'd become, but it was harder to try and remember what they used to be. They say time changes people and use it as an excuse, but th...

Let go.

Why is it that we judge people on the basis of our thought processes? Why do we not realize that everyone thinks in a different way, and  why does it take so long for us to digest how they think and feel? We trust them, right? But what does that even mean? It means that if  you trust someone, you know them well enough to understand that they are worth something, that just because they think  differently, doesn't mean they think wrong. We know them well enough to understand that whatever they do have in mind, is only  for the benefit, and that they wouldn't do something just without thinking. Why do we say we trust them when we don't really? Why  is it that we just forbid them from doing something, or in the least making sure that they know you don't approve? Why is it that we say  we support them, but we go back on our words when they really just needed us to be there, in the first place? Why is it that they are  supposed to listen to everything we "a...

Nostalgia.

The sacred 3rd Floor In exactly 2 days, our first prelims start. Weeks are passing by as seconds, and I swear it feels like just yesterday I was freaking out about the fact that 10th had started. It's been 3 months to that feeling! In about 7 months, we'll be writing our Boards' Papers! Suddenly, I was nostalgic for something I'd never known- missing school.  When we're sad, minutes feel like hours, and the moment just couldn't pass by any slower. It's like time is frozen within the cold, broken embrace of your heart. You've probably lost someone and it hurts. You may have lost them suddenly, unexpectedly. Or perhaps you began losing pieces of them until one day, there was nothing left. You may have known them all your life or barely even a little. Either way, it is irrelevant- you cannot control the depth of a wound that another soul inflicts upon you. Which is why I'm not here to tell you tomorrow is another day. That the sun will go shinin...

Emptiness.

My eyes, filled with tears and heart, heavy with overflowing emotions, I couldn't seem to hold back. Nothing in that moment could possibly cease or even slow down the rate at which everything was happening. My mind was flooded with memories of the bygone days. I couldn't seem to understand why this roller coaster of emotions suddenly came onto me, as if it were attacking me. The room, like my heart, was half empty. Nothing, no matter what I tried to fill it up with, seemed to occupy that space, like it were reserved. For someone special. I thought that we'd drift apart, maybe never talk again, maybe I wouldn't be able to make the time for him, or at some point of time, we'd have nothing left in common. But that's where I was wrong. I found myself realizing something. When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.  I wondered how I wa...

The Planned Accident.

She'd been waiting for this day since ages! Maybe she never confronted it, to her now husband-to-be, or even to herself. Stana couldn't be any happier! She'd just gotten her marriage license too! She was officially prepared to get married after two years of seeing each other. She knew he'd always be there for her, her pillar, her strength. His imperfections only made him more adorable in Stana's eyes. They'd known each other for 8 long years, and nothing ever changed how she felt about him. That girl was smitten!  Meanwhile, Nathan, had gone on his book tour. He had to publish his new book, or his publisher was going to pounce on him. Although he was kind of triggered and worried, since his rival, Demming, had been releasing his book too, and he purposely made sure that his tour dates clashed with Nathan's. They'd been rivals since the beginning of time, and there was nothing Demming wouldn't do to make sure his sales crossed Nathan's.  He...
